October 2008 Bead Journal Project

The size of the flower pin is 3" x 3."

My October project was done just before
Thanksgiving.
I bought 2 pretty fabrics from Jo Ann Fabric.
I used my new sewing machine for flower and
leaf stitches. The size of the fabric is 5'' x 5.''

Jean this is absolutely gorgeous! Sorry I cant help with the identification but WOW! When you do find out what it is, please post because it is stunning. Your beading is so lovely, the colors you chose are spot on. Love it!

I think it's a Black Eyed Susan, check out this link http://www.gardensablaze.com/WildflowersBlackEyeSus.htm

It's beautiful whatever it is and your beaded version is stunning. Wow!

ooooooh... this is sooooooooo lovely!!!! Maybe ever prettier than the picture of the real flower because of the texture and the beads. You will certainly enjoy wearing this one. My sister-in-law is a total flower identification expert. I've taken the picture from your previous post and sent it to her... she will have a difinitive answer for you soon. I think Grace may be right... Love your work! Robin A

It doesn't matter what the flower is - it's gorgeous! How did you get the height of the petals? It does look like a Black Eyed Susan or a type of sunflower though.
