Picnic Point

Yesterday we went to look for sea glass at Picnic Point. I found a
rare tiny bottle with plastic tube. We don't know what it is but
Dean thinks it is a bottle feeder. It was relaxed and we had so
much fun.

Rent DVD

I rented 4 DVDs this weekend. The Blue Butterfly was the best
movie I have seen. It is funny, amazing, and beautiful.
A dramatic adventure about courage, redemption and love being
filmed in the rain forests. An entomologist takes a woman and her
terminally ill son to the jungle to find a rare butterfly. It is a true
story.

Link Chain Earrings

I found two different link chains so I made earrings
with gemstones and glass beads. I bent the wires into
a loop.

The first earrings I made yesterday match the Blues
Garden necklace. I used pearl, sea blue chalcedony,
crackled blue and green glass beads.

I made another earrings today. I used s.s. bali beads,
vintage blue glass beads, sea blue chalcedony and
purple matte round glass beads.

Technicians Save Christmas

Technicians were called in as the Uptons
Christmas cards wouldn't print on the
color printer. Only half of us would be
printed with the other half missing.
I called Shawn who sacraficed his
Thursday evening. He agreed there
was a software problem and called India.
Today, I called in Jennifer who after three
hours managed to get us all printed in time
to be mailed out yet this year. I am almost
finished with my christmas letter.
Jennifer helped me with my picture images
for a jurying application website. My photos
were too large and she reformatted my
pictures. She also helped me to change to the
new version of my blog. How do you like my
text?

Sea Glass from Lake Mendota

I found five pieces of sea glass two
weeks ago while biking and taking
photos along Lake Mendota.
The glass gems include green, brown,
sea green and white.
Sea glass is found from bottles that are
broken and the waves, sand, and water
shape and smooth the broken pieces
into sea glass that resemble gems.
