This year I took pictures of Red Poppy at Bailey Harbor inDoor County last July.
I finished my September Page today. Red Poppy Flowers areone of my favorites. My format for this year is smaller and it
is a " 5 x 5 " square. The bead embroidery techniques I used
was back-stitch with 4 beads. I used Lacy's Stiff Stuff and green
fabric paint.
I just bought a new baby Lock sewing machine for my birthday
and I have about 80 selections of stitch patterns and adjustable
stitch width and length.
I used Czech Charlotte Cuts size 13/0 beads and Delica beads.
I stitched the leaves with embroidery floss. It was lot of work
but it was worth it.
The size of the flower is 3" width by 2 1/2" height. I used redfelt on the back of the pin.

Lovely. You made a perfect poppy! I'd say 5x5 is plenty big with the amount of beading you are doing.
